Fly2Sky Becomes an Official Member of the Global Aviation Family of IATA: A Strategic Move for Any Airline with a Vision for the Future
The airline holds the prestigious IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate – the gold standard for aviation safety and operational reliability, recognized globally. As a natural continuation of our commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in the industry, the airline has been accepted as the 350th full member of IATA – a significant step not only for Fly2Sky but also a recognition for Bulgarian civil aviation.
Ms. Anca Apahidean, IATA’s Regional Manager for Eastern Europe, presented the membership certificate during an official ceremony attended by Mr. Grozdan Karadzhov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, and Ms. Aneliya Marinova, Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration.
Fly2Sky’s joining the International Air Transport Association (IATA) is not just a symbol of commitment to the global aviation community – it is a strategic step that underscores the company’s vision for enhanced safety, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Membership in IATA provides access to a global network of professionals and tools that support the development of the aviation industry in three key areas:
• A secure digital platform with analytics and benchmarking capabilities
Airlines can assess their performance, compare results against international standards, and make strategic decisions based on real data.
• Full access to IOSA reports, standards, and guidelines
This ensures better compliance with international regulations, greater transparency, and continuous improvement in safety standards.
• As a full member of IATA, Fly2Sky’s participation in the “Fly Net Zero” initiative becomes both a responsibility and an opportunity
– to be part of the future of aviation that is cleaner, more efficient, and more socially responsible. Fly2Sky is committed to investing in training and procedures to optimize flight routes, reduce empty flights, and improve operational efficiency.
• Shared information for the benefit of global aviation safety
IATA promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience between airlines, contributing to accident prevention and overall safety enhancement in the sector.

“This is an achievement earned among 19 other licensed airlines in the country. Your success is also Bulgaria’s success on the international aviation stage,” said Mr. Grozdan Karadzhov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications.
Fly2Sky’s membership in IATA is an investment in the company’s future – a decision that reaffirms its role as a progressive and responsible player in the global aviation industry.
